Single quote in title breaks the output of picture title
  • Hello,
in one of my title, I use single quotes ( ' ) and apparently it breaks the output of the title, and even prevent the picture to be displayed.
Here is an example of my title : title="Hostilités à armes inégales entre manifestants et policiers: briques, pierres et cocktail molotov d'un coté, fusil à pompe et canon à eau de l'autre ..."

How can I use the single quotes ? Do I have to escape them ? If yes, with double quote or backslash (apparently double quotes doesn't work that much) ?

    Thanks,
    Nicolas
  • Double quotes as the surrounding quotes should work (title="title"). I recommend upgrading to Lightview 3, it uses a data-attribute instead of the title.
  • Hi, thanks for your answer.
I must apologize but I did a mistake in my subject: what I use is an "apostrophe", not a "single quote" (all tough I don't think that there is a difference).

Anyway, I solved my problem by using the HTML code (&#39).

But because I'm using Lightview through a Wordpress plugin (Lightview plus - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/lightview-plus/), it's possible that either Wordpress or the plugin is buggy.

Thank you anyway for your answer.
    Nicolas
