Help upgrading from Lightview v2 to v3

Firefox exhibits really bad framerate with Lightview v3. See this MP4: http://www.webveteran.com/media/storage/choppy.mp4
The first tab is lightview v2 (script version). It works fine.
The second tab is lightview v3. As you can see, only 2 or 3 frames render.
The third tab has shadowbox working nicely.
The fourth tab is lightview v3 on it's official web page. Same choppiness.

I turned off all extensions, no change. Disabled hardware acceleration, no change.
I tried the same test in Safari. Everything works just dandy there.

Let me know what info you need to help squash this bug.

Slide doesn't show in IE and Firefox

When i test the site on chrome, it works fine. However when I test in on other browsers the slide doesn't show.

Changing data-tipped value after page load

Hello

I'm trying to pass a url encoded variable to a tooltip using ajax.

For example, when the page loads data-tipped is

data-tipped="hxxp://my.site.com/page.php?id=value"

The page contains a drop down form that changes the value based on what the user selects. This is done using javascript [setAttribute]. So data-tipped becomes

data-tipped="hxxp://my.site.com/page.php?id=new_value"

But when the link is clicked it continues to pass the original variable. I've tried a few things but couldn't get it to recognize the new_value and, truth be told, javascript is not my strong suit.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I like this lightbox but would need to know if it's easy to set it up with Wordpress or if there are any know difficultiesbugs with other plugins?

I'm not tech savvie (can install plugins in wordpress and wordpress itself along with other scripts) have a limited amount of script experience. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what needs to be done or if there are any straight forward instructions to install on WP blogs.

hideOnClickOutside vs. HTML label

Hey Nick,

I am using Tipped to display a login form (via AJAX) with the following syntax:



  username		
  		

  password

Using either hideOn: 'click-outside' or hideOnClickOutside: true, when clicking a label the tooltip vanishes. Happens in IE9, Chrome 26 and Firefox 20 (most likely in all other browsers as well, but these I did check).

Can you confirm this finding? If not, what's the way to fix it?

Fresco Touch UI Performance

We've been developing a site using fresco light (1.1.7) and have purchased a site licence now that development is nearing it's end. Unfortunately the performance of the new touch ui in version 1.2 is quite poor (iPad 3). Is it possible to download previous versions without the touch ui code?

I see it but if I click on it does not receive the focus.

Fresco takes long time to render when having 100+ thumbnails.

I have pages with photo reports from events. These reports typically have a lot of photos 80 - 100 in average. So the issue is poor performance when launching a lightbox. I suspect it's because of thumbnails. Please let me know if I can somehow improve performance of a plugin. Thanks!

I have large number of tooltips being created on a webpage (some 800). Most work, however some randomly do not.

For the ones that don't work the element called by id is not removed from the DOM & but new elements (t_Tooltip, t_Content etc) are created without the refered content.

When the tooltip is called all that it contains is the id that should have been used to create the inline tooltip.

This is what I am using at present:

Fresco shows the loader, but doesn't load any image

Hi,
I'm new to fresco.js and I've got a problem in applying it on http://www.charlesphilipshanghai.com/Press.aspx.
When I click on the target image, the loader appears and after a while it disappears.
When I take a look to the html I can notice that the display setting in fr-window and fr-overlay class elements are set to "none" instead of "block" (or something similar). Forcing it by Firebug to "block" value it works like it should. Please consider the fact that I load dinamically the whole page through .NET framework, I'm using jQuery 1.9.1 and, in the same gallery, jQuery.isotype 1.5.25 is active (http://isotope.metafizzy.co) and that I tried to apply the effect even on a single image of my gallery, but still had no luck at all.

Creating Tooltips dynamically

I'm trying to make some tooltips on the fly with the code below.

The tooltips are created and shown but they all end up with the same value (the last value in my array 'myvalues').

Tipped and Dynamic elements

I have been using tipped in a project and I'm loving it so far.
I've been adding elements into the page dynamically via AJAX and adding the tooltips after the elements have been added to the page which has been working without issue.
The problem is when another batch of elements are added to the page all the old tooltips are removed and only the last batch of dynamic elements receive tooltips.

What am I missing?

Youtube video doesn't stop playing when lightview closed Windows 7 with IE10

Hi

I have been having trouble with IE10 on windows 7 32bit with the latest version of Lightview. When you embed a youtube video in an iframe as per your example, it plays fine but when you close using the button or click on the underlying page, although the video stops playing and control returns to the main page, the sound keeps playing to the end of the video clip. Thinking that the problem was with me, I opened your usage page (http://projects.nickstakenburg.com/lightview/documentation/usage) and clicked on the Youtube (HTML5) link and it does exactly the same. Any solution to this?

Hi all,
I want to run a function to stop a sound when the lightview slideshow window is closed.

I know how to stop audio, but I don't know how to trigger my html5 audio.pause() when lightview closes. Is it possible to do that, and how?

( I am not using any lightview api calls in my javascript, and simply need to know when it is closed by the user - either by the user clicking the close button or clicking in the background.)

Bug: Close button disappearing in Chrome

When the light skin is applied, if you hover over the close button and then leave the hover, then the X disappears. Small bug but I'm using that skin so it would be cool to have it fixed.

Hey There
At ###, you can see i am using fancy box successfully with private vimeo videos...however, when i set up a page with the fresco plugin
and you try the first link, that is the same type of private video you see fancybox opening properly...i am wondering what the issue is.

I only have it private in the sense that it is hidden from vimeo.com, but it still is public if you have the link and i have it set to be able to be embedded anywhere.

Can you please help?

Chrome Blocking Vimeo videos when browsing in https

Hi there,

I'm using fresco to show vimeo videos. This works fine when visiting my website over http, but when visiting the site over https, chrome blocks the vimeo video with the error

The page at MY_SITE ran insecure content from http://vimeo.com/api/v2/video/etc

The href being passed into fresco is https not http and there doesn't seem to be an option for forcing a secure connection. Any suggestions?

Lightbox not working on Nexus 7

Hi,

The lightbox on my first test site is working on my desktop, and on an ipad. However, on the Nexus 7, while it loads - navigating between slides using the arrows closes it down and takes me back to the web page. The thumbnails work in that you can move between them, but clicking on them does not generate the larger image. Finally, there is a few pixel gap at the bottom of the page on the overlay which doesnt look great.

Has anyone else had similiar problems?

IE9: Fresco doesn't update background if window is resized after opening.

This bug seems to be specific to Internet Explorer 9.

If you open Fresco, then make the window size wider, Fresco's transparent background will not adjust its size to match the new window size. This is visible in the examples on frescojs.com, and show below:

Just installed Fresco 1.2.0, had been using previous versions with no problems.

We are using it on a page that scrolls. In FireFox and Internet Explorer it determines the correct window size, in Safari and Chrome it seems it bases its size on the entire scrollable height of the content (height of body, maybe?) which means that things are incorrectly centered and you must scroll to see the thumbnails.

Code for adding the caption via Javascript?
